Apple is preparing for mass production of the iPhone 15, with minimal potential delays expected.

The initial target market for these devices will be India, with plans to expand exports to Europe and the US starting in December.

Manufacturing of the iPhone 15 for the Indian market will take place at Foxconn’s Chennai facility, aiming to minimize the gap between the Indian and global launches.

Apple’s local manufacturing efforts have significantly contributed to India’s mobile phone exports, with iPhones constituting a large portion of these exports.

The company’s domestic contract manufacturers, including Foxconn, Wistron, and Pegatron, have pledged exports worth Rs. 61,000 crore in FY24.In the June quarter of FY24, iPhone exports from India exceeded Rs. 20,000 crore, representing impressive growth compared to the previous financial year.

The tech giant intends for the India-made iPhone 15 devices to initially serve the local market, with exports to Europe and the US planned for after December. More details about the iPhone 15 are expected to be revealed during the launch event.
