Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro Limited Edition
Samsung is bringing back a blast from the past with the release of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro, a special edition phone inspired by the iconic SGH-E700 flip phone that was launched 20 years ago in 2003. This particular model marked Samsung’s first foray into including a built-in antenna.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro pays homage to the SGH-E700 with its unique design elements. It features the classic combination of indigo blue and silver colors, reminiscent of the early 2000s. The user experience design also takes inspiration from the pixel graphics of that era, giving users a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Additionally, the Flex Window showcases an exclusive animation of a cityscape, further adding to the retro charm.
To make this limited edition even more special, Samsung has created a unique package for buyers. It includes three Flipsuit cards featuring logos from different periods in Samsung’s history, a Flipsuit case, and a collector card engraved with a one-of-a-kind serial number. These additions enhance the collectible value of the product for customers who purchase it.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro will be available for purchase starting from November 1st in select countries, including Korea, the UK, Germany, Spain, and Australia. To celebrate the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro, Samsung will set up an exhibition space at the ‘Samsung Gangnam’ store in Korea starting November 1st. This space will showcase the evolution of Samsung’s innovation story and allow visitors to experience the nostalgia-inducing phone firsthand.
Furthermore, Samsung has partnered with ‘Beongae Market,’ a used trading platform company, and ‘Y173,’ a cultural complex in Seongsu-dong, to host an event from November 1st to 5th. This event will provide users with various opportunities to explore Samsung’s innovation journey alongside the Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro.
