Xiaomi HyperOS India Launch
Xiaomi has officially announced the launch of the Redmi Note 13 series smartphones in India on January 4th. In addition to this, the company has also teased the introduction of the Xiaomi HyperOS in the Indian market, confirming its imminent arrival.
This development follows the recent global announcement by Xiaomi, stating that the HyperOS will be made available for Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO phones worldwide from the first quarter of 2024. The Chief Marketing Officer of Xiaomi India expressed enthusiasm for the significant developments in 2024, hinting at substantial progress for Xiaomi in India. Furthermore, a question was posed to the audience regarding the significance of ’24’ for Xiaomi India.
Leveraging Linux and Xiaomi’s proprietary Xiaomi Vela system, the Xiaomi HyperOS is designed to seamlessly integrate with a variety of devices, irrespective of their RAM capacity. Notably, the HyperOS is known for its lightweight nature, consuming minimal resources in comparison to its counterparts. This was emphasized during its initial introduction in China back in October.
While the upcoming Redmi Note 13 5G, Note 13 Pro, and Note 13 Pro+ devices are anticipated to run on MIUI, it is expected that further details about the integration of HyperOS for these flagship and Redmi devices will be unveiled during the launch event later this week.
