WhatsApp Beta Secret Code
WhatsApp has taken a step further in enhancing user privacy with the introduction of the Secret Code feature for locked chats. This new feature adds an extra layer of security by hiding the entry point for accessing locked chats, making it visible only when the correct code is entered.
Beta testers who have updated to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.24.20 will notice a new settings section in their list of locked chats. This section allows users to set up a secret code and hide the entry point for accessing locked chats. Instead, users can enter the secret code in the Chats tab’s search bar to access locked chats.
In addition, some beta testers may also have access to a feature that allows them to quickly clear the list of locked chats from their privacy settings in case they forget their secret code.
The Secret Code feature is currently available to a few beta testers via the Google Play Store and is expected to be rolled out to a larger user base in the upcoming weeks. This new feature is aimed at providing users with added security and privacy when using WhatsApp.
