Airtel IoT and IntelliSmart Infrastructure Private Limited have joined forces to propel the deployment of up to 20 million smart meters, marking a significant milestone in the smart metering and digital solutions space.
IntelliSmart Infrastructure will harness the power of Airtel’s IoT Hub, enabling the efficient tracking and monitoring of these smart meters through advanced analytics, all while ensuring top-tier reliability and telco-grade security. Airtel’s robust cloud network underpins the IoT hub, providing enterprises with the capability to connect and manage billions of devices and applications.
This landmark deal aligns with the Government of India’s ambitious plan to replace 250 million conventional meters with Smart Meters within the next five years as part of the AMI initiative, showcasing Airtel IoT’s pivotal role in realizing this vision.
