Made in India Pixel Smartphones
In the Google for India program, Google has announced plans to manufacture the latest Pixel series premium smartphones in India. Production will begin with Pixel 8, and availability of locally made devices is expected in 2024.
Local production partnership
Google will collaborate with international and domestic manufacturers to locally produce Pixel smartphones in India. Due to the increasing popularity of Pixel smartphones in India over the years, the country is considered a priority for Pixel smartphones. This step signifies their journey to enhance their production capacity and meet the demand for Pixel in India.
Expansion of service network
Along with manufacturing, Google has also expanded its service network to improve the Pixel smartphone experience and now has 28 service centers in 27 cities in India, in collaboration with F1 Info Solutions. They plan to further expand coverage in upcoming months and in more locations and cities.
Participation in ‘Make in India’ initiative
India has become a growing center for manufacturing, providing an excellent environment for businesses to grow. In this initiative, Google is participating in the ‘Make in India’ campaign and aims to make Pixel smartphones more accessible to people across India.
