According to a recent report from SBS Biz, Samsung is gearing up to unveil its highly anticipated Galaxy S24 smartphone on January 17, 2024, in San Francisco, USA. The tech giant has already begun preparations for the launch event.

In addition to this exciting news, the report confirms that the Galaxy S23 FE will hit the shelves in South Korea on December 1, 2023, at a price of KRW 800,000 won (approximately USD 600).

Despite the popularity of high-end phones in South Korea, Samsung is introducing the Galaxy S23 FE as an affordable option in response to economic challenges and a sluggish market. Interestingly, it has been three years since Samsung launched a Fan Edition Galaxy S phone in South Korea.

The Galaxy S24 is set to be a game-changer with its Generative AI capabilities, earning it the moniker of an ‘AI Phone’. This cutting-edge series will include three models: Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Samsung has already announced its Exynos 2400 processor, boasting impressive performance enhancements such as a faster GPU and NPU.

The Galaxy S24 will offer on-device AI processing, enabling features like text-to-image conversion. Additionally, there are rumors of a titanium frame for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, akin to the iPhone 15 Pro series.

The release of the Galaxy S24 series holds significant importance for Samsung during these challenging times. The report also sheds light on Samsung’s financial results for Q3 2023, revealing a decline in consolidated revenue compared to the previous year but an increase in quarterly revenue.

The company’s operating profit was primarily driven by robust sales of flagship mobile models and a strong demand for displays, with some improvements in the Device Solutions Division.
