WhatsApp Multiple Accounts
Mark Zuckerberg has recently revealed an exciting new update for WhatsApp, which allows users to have two WhatsApp accounts on a single device. This feature was initially released in beta form in August.
This update simplifies the management of both personal and work accounts, eliminating the need to constantly log out or carry multiple phones.
Setting up 2nd Account
To set up a second WhatsApp account, users will need a second phone number and SIM card, or a phone that supports multi-SIM or eSIM. By accessing the WhatsApp settings, users can click on their name and select “Add account.” Each account can have personalized privacy and notification settings.
Once added, the newly created accounts will remain active on the device until the user decides to log out. This update streamlines the process of managing multiple accounts on one device.
Instead of configuring separate WhatsApp accounts on different devices, users can conveniently use a single app on their primary device to access and switch between various accounts.
Availability
The Multiple Accounts on WhatsApp feature will be gradually rolled out to Android users over the next few weeks and months. However, there is currently no information regarding its availability for iOS devices.
Mark Zuckerberg announced the availability of this feature by stating that users will soon be able to switch between two accounts on WhatsApp, allowing them to have two WhatsApp accounts on one phone, all within the app.
